Sites worth checking out Zine distros Satan Macnuggit Popular Arts - Siue and Jonathan run this video zine distro and also produce their own videos. Political and indie films abound there. Lots of very entertaining stuff! Bad Ass Fantastico - En feministisk distro, based in Sweden. Microcosm Publishing - Portland-based distro, they have tons of titles. North Star Distro - This is a new Kelowna, BC-based zine distro that looks pretty promising! Passionate Resistance distro - Passionate Resistance is a German distro that distributes some fine North American zines, as well as German zines. Pandemonium Distribution - Michelle runs a pretty cool distro out of Montréal, focusing on voices from people of colour and indegenous people. Shoebox Distro - Cool distro located in the United Kingdom of the soon to be Thaili Zine Distro - Probably the Middle East's first zine distro! Valiant Death Records - A record label that's also a zine distro, with a focus on punk rock. They sell CDs, records, tapes, zines, pins and a bunch of other stuff. Other sites Frandroid's LiveJournal - If you want to know more about who's running this distro... Marginal Distribution - A great Canadian book distro of alternative literature. They have a huge catalogue. rabble.ca - The best site for progressive news and commentary of the Canadian left. Also has a lively forum (Babble) and Auntie.com, a funny advice column for lefties. Rhine-Stone Custom Buttons - When you need to promote your zine or your band, get buttons! Uprising Bookstore: Books without Borders is an alternative bookstore based in Toronto's Kensington Market. Uprising is a collective, volunteer-run store that stocks books from the likes of the AK Press catalogue, Black Rose Books, and of course some zines from Great Worm Express Distribution! Last but not least, ZNet - Great political commentary by some of the smartest people out there: Noam Chomsky, Robert Fisk, Michael Albert, Rahul Mahajan, Robert Jensen, and tons of other people. Great read to keep your sanity in times of political turmoil. Cheap Photocopying in TorontoNot a link per se, because they don't have a webpage. But really, I have to refer these guys. Three Cent Copy Centre in Toronto offers 3 cent copies per side. You can do self-serve, but if you come in with flats, they will handle the copying for you at no extra charge. Hand them your flats and tell them you want them folded and stapled. They will scan them in their big honking copier, press all the necessary buttons, and when they press the Copy button, the machine will magically spit out folded and stapled zines in a single operation.
